Coby is 13 years old, but has the energy of a puppy. He is a happy little man. He loves to run at the park, go for walks, gives sweet hugs and kisses. He is really an angel dog. Coby has always used puppy pads and we are working on being housebroken. He needs to go frequently because of his age, so he would be great for someone that is home a lot. He doesn't like to get brushed, especially his legs. Sometimes when you pick him up; even though you are careful, he yelps out like he hurts; so he may have some arthritis in his joints. He is a quiet dog that likes to take long naps and sleeps throughout the night without a peep out of him. He is very content just sitting next to you for company and would be great for a retired person (especially a lady). He gets along with cats and other dogs - as long as they like to get kisses. When you leave and come back home he does his little happy dance for you showing you how much he missed you. He would probably do better with older kids than younger because he may jump up and accidently knock a little person down. He has soft toys he likes to play with although he doesn't quite know how to fetch them. He knows sit, shake, lay down, (pointing your finger say) go to your blanket, go to your crate, go to your room and go eat. Coby does have skin allergies (itching and scratching) if he eats dog food with corn in it. He has only a couple of teeth left so his food needs to be soft enough to chew so can food is the best. He has been neutered and is up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm and flea preventative. If you would like to be considered to adopt Coby, you must first apply. Then please contact linda@schnauzerrescue.net. If you've already applied, please contact linda@schnauzerrescue.net to be added to the list of those being considered.    Storm was adopted! To see his happy ending photo, go to Happy Endings in 2015. Storm is a 7 month old puppy. He acts much older, though. Storm prefers men and he just loves his foster dad. He gets a little anxious when he's left alone but he is getting better. He loves to play with the other dogs and he does best with another dog. He's a typical puppy that needs training. Storm is neutered and current on his vaccines. Storm's owner must be willing to take him through a basic dog obedience class and provide proof of completion within four months of the adoption. Proof of enrollment in a dog obedience is required before/at the adoption. If you would like to be considered to adopt Storm, you must first apply. Then please contact linda@schnauzerrescue.net.
