During a recent exam it was discovered that Alia had some enlarged lymph nodes. A follow up exam the following week showed she had even more enlarged lymph nodes. After examining them, it was confirmed that Alia has lymphoma. Alia will live out her final days in rescue, however long that is. We had hoped for a happy ending for this girl. She was just  declared heart worm free only to get this news.

Alia crossed the Rainbow Bridge in her foster mom's arms. Rest In Peace little girl.

Alia is a 4 year old female who was rescued from South Carolina on a Pilots & Paws flight. She escaped from a puppy mill, she was hit by a car and had a broken pelvis but still delivered her puppies normally that she was carrying. She was also found to be heartworm positive so she is currently going through heartworm treatment now that she has left her puppies.  Alia is a bit shy as most puppy mill dogs are. She is learning to walk on a leash and be a normal dog. She's a good mom but it's time for her health to be taken care of.  She will be spayed  before she leaves rescue after she has completed her heartworm treatment.   Alia may be ready to leave rescue around November 1st. Alia's  owner must be willing to take her through a basic dog obedience class and provide proof of completion within four months of the adoption. Proof of enrollment in a dog obedience is required before/at the adoption. If you would like to be considered to adopt  Alia, you must first apply. Then please contact Myfureverhome@schnauzerrescue.net. If you've already applied, please contact Myfureverhome@schnauzerrescue.net  to be added to the list of those being considered.
